Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Mulliner, Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding unit, has created a unique keycase to mark the 100th anniversary of the company. It is constructed of Dark stained Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes a flying "B" paperweight, keys, and a booklet featuring never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

Design

Bentley claims it takes about 500 man-hours to craft and put together the typical Mulsanne. The refusal to embrace new technology is the key to this lengthy and laborious process. The Crewe factory workers don't employ a machine to place perfectly matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. Drivers must park their cars manually, rather than using the built-in sensors to guide them into perpendicular and paralell spots.
At the event, Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization options with one of a kind that was the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays homage to the founder William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars include the key, which displays an item from the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
